Hello, I´m new to jam making and trying to get my equipment together! What size pan do I need for a 6lb standard recipe?

stupid question: you mention this is suitable for flat and solid heating surfaces; how about gas hobs?

fine for all types including gas and induction hobs

What are the dimensions of your pan - in particular - whAt is the diameter of the base and what is the height?

Can this jam pan be used inside of an Aga oven or just the plate only?

There is nothing about the pan that leads us to suppose it couldn't be placed in the oven of an Aga - we haven't tried it though!

hi i´m looking for a preserving pan that i can use on a neff induction hob - can you let me know if a magnet will stick to the bottom of this kilner pan? many thanks

These pans are suitable for Induction hobs and we just tried a magnet and it sticks!

What can I say delivery fast, and within time slot given. A great piece of kit. Nice size well balanced just the job for jam and chutney. Used it straight away making tomatoe and apple chutney, which I will look forward to eating over Christmas. I would recomend this maslin pan to anyone. Well I off to make more jam now.

Sturdy piece of kit, multipurpose. It arrived and initially surprised by its size, I likened myself to a witch with a new cauldron!! BUT, it is just perfect. Jam making can be messy especially in the rolling boil.But everything is neatly contained within its deep sided structure. I used it for ´rosehip and apple jelly´, ´damson jam´ and am looking forward to using it to make elderberry jam too. Wonderfully well made and solid. Thoroughly recommend. Would also be great for festive punches, mulled wines and other magical potions!
